Skittles Magazine Ad

Skittles ad #1

For this ad, I photographed real Skittles in the exact spots I envisioned, then shot the actual bag separately with better lighting. Afterward, I cut out the images, touched up the “S” logo, and assembled everything together. My goal was to create the effect of a rainbow in the sky, complete with the iconic slogan, "Taste the Rainbow."

Skittles ad #2

For this ad, I arranged Skittles scattered in my desired layout with the package placed on top. I took two photos: one focusing on the lighting for the Skittles and another with the package perfectly lit. My vision for these ads was to give them a newspaper-style feel, so I gathered popular reviews and used Photoshop to add elements like crumpled paper textures and ripped edges, creating the impression that it was torn straight from a newspaper.

Skittles ad #3

For this ad, I set up a self-photoshoot with my lights and camera, positioning the lighting to make it easy to cut myself out in post-editing. Once I achieved the desired look, I brought the image into Photoshop, where I cut out the Skittles bag from a previous shoot and added individual Skittles from other photos. I also incorporated the newspaper visuals to complete the composition.

Couples photoshoots

About my shoots
.01

This family holds a special place in my heart, and with their recent new home, I chose to capture their photos indoors. The most important lesson I learned from this experience is that natural lighting should always be the priority, with additional lighting used only to fill in gaps when necessary. So If you have windows. Use them.

These are my wonderful parents, and I was thrilled to have the chance to photograph them as one of my couples. Capturing moments with family is so meaningful, and this experience reminded me of that. One of the most valuable lessons I learned from this shoot is the importance of visiting your location beforehand. It gives you the opportunity to explore the best spots and understand the lighting conditions, which can make all the difference on the day of the shoot.

Ron & Tiffany

I had the incredible opportunity to photograph my aunt’s wedding for this project. It was a surprise wedding, which made it quite different from any other wedding I’ve covered and added extra pressure to capture the moments perfectly. One of the biggest lessons I learned was that encouraging the couple to interact naturally, rather than relying solely on posed shots, results in more genuine and sentimental images.

Brett & Suzy

This family feels like my second family, so it was a given that I had to include them in my project. Each of the four girls has such a lively and unique personality, making it challenging to keep them still or in position for more than a couple of seconds. However, that spontaneity led to some wonderfully candid and funny shots. The biggest takeaway was realizing how much I needed an ND filter, as I lost sky detail due to overexposure, so its time for me to invest in one.
